I keep wondering why certain voices carry on about "religion" in the US. Compared to other cultures and times, we are godless. Other than houses of worship, I see no pilgrims walking to shrines, see not roadside shrines, no mendicants begging on the street, no sadhus covered in ashes, hardly any business closed on either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, no public sacrifices, no consecrated persons being shown deference by complete strangers, no blasphemy laws, no blessing of public buildings, no religious "college" maintaining the nations sacred objects, etc. But I do see people in constant motion, working any buying and seeking distraction, escaping silence and the eternal.

Thank you for hosting this important event and sharing holistic context on religious nationalism, including how it appears in the United States.

I have no inclination to support this. Mutilation is mutilation. I will pray but will not overtly give any support to this creation of the twenty first century.

As a Christian I believe in building a one way bridge from there religion to the Christian faith after crossing over the bridge should be burned. It is very wrong to respect idol worshippers and leave them to go to hell. Christianity is about converting the heathen and not about respecting false religion and idol worship. The URI would probably fight to stop people using the word idol but as Christians we must fight to keep it
